Trip Highlights
Pickup in the morning from your hotel or airport in Dar es Salaam. Begin a 5-hour journey through scenic rural Tanzania with a packed lunch. Arrive in Selous in the early afternoon, check in at your lodge, and later enjoy a boat safari on the Rufiji River, where you'll see hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife.
Dinner and overnight at Hippo Camp.
Meal Plan: Full Board
After breakfast, set out for a guided walking safari—a thrilling and intimate way to explore the bush, accompanied by an armed ranger. Return to the lodge for lunch, and then in the afternoon, depart for a game drive, exploring one of Africa's most untouched wildlife areas.

Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in Selous Game Reserve. With picnic lunch on hand, explore a rich habitat home to elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, impalas, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, crocodiles, and more.

After breakfast, enjoy a short cultural tour at Mloka Village, offering insight into local traditions and daily life. Then begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam. Arrive in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
